We weten nu dus o.a. waarom :(

Conclusions.
Months to years after the initial infection with B. burgdorferi, patients with Lyme disease may have chronic encephalopathy, polyneuropathy, or less commonly, leukoencephalitis. These chronic neurologic abnormalities usually improve with antibiotic therapy

"In 1993, Allen Steere MD, a rheumatologist, wrote a paper titled “The Overdiagnosis of Lyme Disease.”
His conclusions were based on a sampling of the serum of patients run through his laboratory. Most of
these patients’ serum samples were negative in his laboratory while positive in other laboratories. An
obvious defect in this study is that Steere was comparing an unreliable test done in his laboratory with
the same unreliable test done in outside laboratories. Therefore, the entire basis for this study is flawed.
Also, for this study, Steere discarded Lyme disease victims who did not meet his biased and exclusionary
definition of Lyme disease." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8459513

Veel ellende is o.a. vooral hier mee begonnen

En om te huilen dat er op deze manier werd omgegaan met het goede werk van Burgdorferi

Rouwadvertentie The Lancet voor Willy Burgdorfer.

Medical entomologist who discovered the bacteria that causes Lyme disease. Born on June 27, 1925, in Basel, Switzerland, he died from complications of Parkinson's disease on Nov 17, 2014, in Hamilton, MT, USA, aged 89 years.

Jan 11, 2015 — Letter to Allison Snyder who wrote the obituary in the Lancet for Willy Burgdorfer:

https://www.change.org/p/the-us-senate- ... dium=email

Dear Allison,

Thank you for writing the obituary for Willy Burgdorfer. I have included a recent study below that has identified morphological forms of the bacteria Willy Burgdorfer discovered. It has long been suspected that these forms are responsible for the antibiotic resistance hundreds of thousands (If not millions) of Lyme patients have been complaining about for thirty years.

Do you think Alan Steere and Gary Wormser knew enough about this bacterium as they rushed to produce a vaccine as a cure all for this disease?

The Principle Investigators of the two previous Lyme vaccines: Allen C. Steere for SmithKlineBeecham's LymeRix and Gary Wormser for Connaught's vaccine (which never made it to market) have conceptualized a disease that would enable vaccine development. The one-size-fits-all Lyme treatment guideline (lead author: Gary Wormser) matches the conceptualized disease. A preventive vaccine for Lyme disease would not satisfy the FDA if a chronic persistent infection and seronegative disease exist.

We have been dealing with an antibiotic resistant superbug purposely concealed to promote vaccine development and it has become blatantly obvious that the CDC will go to great lengths to insure that Lyme disease remains within its narrow definition in order to fit the vaccine model. http://home.comcast.net/~runagain/Barba ... search.doc

Lola Lyme schreef:Dr. Willy Burgdorfer Talks About Lyme Disease and Scientific & Medical Corruption

Het hele interview met Willy Burgdorfer uit 2007:

http://underourskin.com/news/lyme-disco ... ontroversy

Andy Wilson: How do you feel about the controversy in the Lyme world? Dr. Burgdorfer: The controversy in Lyme disease research is a shameful affair. And I say that because the whole thing is politically tainted. Money goes to people who have, for the past 30 years, produced the same thing—nothing
..........
Andy Wilson: What about the Lyme vaccine? Dr. Burgdorfer: The [first generation] vaccine was not specific enough and not strong enough. So what is needed is additional work on a vaccine. What we have right now is a good example of work that goes to industry [too soon], and industry says, “Okay fine, get it out. “ And somebody says, well it’s too early. And it’s already on the market … and you see that every day …You see that this company is falling down, and these guys are realizing that the vaccine work is full of holes and never should have come out. A lot of people are going to pay for that. They’re going to get sick with Lyme as a result of the vaccination. Then you’re in trouble.
..........
Andy Wilson: What do you most regret about what has happened, in the aftermath of your discovery? Dr. Burgdorfer: I most regret that the technology used to diagnose and to even treat Lyme disease wasn’t worked all the way through. It [was based on] only a few results, then published.
And later on, people [wanted] to take them back. I think Borrelia burgdorferi is too serious an [infectious] agent to play with, and with many laboratories, the severity of the disease is overlooked.
