..Description
Multiple reactivated infections can be associated with cancer, degenerative disorders, ‎Long Covid, CFS, ‎which will be demonstrated by different evidence based literature ‎information and case reports.‎ Little ‎is known in the medical community about cancer and degenerative diseases in ‎correlation with ‎individual multiple chronic infections. Different pathogens like ‎bacteria and viruses can be associated ‎with different types of cancer like breast, ‎pulmonal or prostate cancer.

There is more known about ‎single infections for example ‎with Coxiella burnetii or Epstein Barr Virus in Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, ‎but little is ‎known about the possibility of combined multiple infections in different types of cancer. ‎‎Interestingly, Chlamydia pneumoniae can be risk factor for pulmonal cancer.‎ There are some known correlations of isolated virus or bacterial infections including ‎tick-borne ‎diseases with Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease) and coinfections in cancer ‎and degenerative ‎diseases. We will show profiles of different pathogens with different ‎types of cancer by corresponding ‎profiles of laboratory tests.

Chronic reactivated ‎infections like Epstein Barr Virus or Cytomegalovirus ‎can be diagnosed by modern ‎cellular immune tests like EBV- or CMV lytic antigen in the Interferon ‎Gamma Release ‎Assays.‎ Additionally, molecular mimicry of some pathogens is known to be the reason for some ‎degenerative ‎and autoimmune disorders. This can be find out for example by modern ‎laboratory tests like **Lymphocyte Function Antigen 1 in the Borrelia burgdorferi ‎Interferon Gamma Release Assay.‎

Interestingly, nearly all infections are associated with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) ‎with different ‎individual symptoms of the infected patients depending on the ‎individually reactivated opportunistic ‎infections (“profile” of reactivated infections). ‎Long Covid patients are extremely suffering from ‎reactivated opportunistic infections ‎like EBV, CMV, HSV1/2, VZV, HHV6, Chlamydia/Mycoplasma ‎pneumoniae and ‎others.‎

Learning Objectives:
- There is an important need to check patients with different types of cancer, autoimmune ‎disorders, Long Covid, CFS and other unexplained syndromes for pathogens, especially ‎reactivated opportunistic bacteria and viruses. Therefore, modern laboratory tests like ‎Interferon Gamma Release Assays are necessary to find out about active infections.‎
- Consequently, therapists need to know, if and which reactivated opportunistic pathogens ‎are active in different types of cancer, degenerative disorders, CFS and other ‎unexplained syndromes like CFS in their differentials to decide for the best integrative ‎treatment options.‎.

Opmerkelijk zijn de uitspraken over het **Coxsackie-Virus (een erg groot probleem..(?)). En ook opmerkelijk zijn de uitspraken over de antibiotica behandelingen van een arts die jarenlang met collega C.N Lyme patiënten heeft behandeld met langdurige antibiotica behandelingen (oraal of infuus) bij BCA clinic (Duitsland).

Bij de 'PhytoBox studies' wordt er verwezen als 'bewijs' (dat niet kan dienen als bewijs!) naar 'studie artikelen' van anderen over onderzoeken in vitro (reageerbuis), of onderzoeken met ratten, muizen, kippen.


Sommige mensen kunnen misschien denken waar maak je je druk over?.. Om deze reden: helaas zijn mijn toenmalige hoofdbehandelaar (AVIG) Lyme arts (reguliere en complementaire werkwijze én samenwerking met BCA Duitsland) van de Werkgroep Lyme en/of coinfecties en collega therapeuten en ik er ook ingetuind. Als geteste patiënt met de kostbare LTT-EliSpot testen (Borrelia en coinfecties) en de CD57+ test heb ik lang uitgekeken naar de resultaten en de publicatie van het onafhankelijke 'Victory validatie onderzoek' (cellulaire testen).
De resultaten van de publicatie van 14 juni 2022 zijn duidelijk en spreken voor zich en heb ik daar veel van kunnen leren. Enerzijds schrok ik er wel van maar anderzijds heeft het voor iedereen duidelijkheid gegeven over de cellulaire testen en dat is goed!

Als geteste patiënt bij BCA Duitsland/BCA Lab (InfectoLab)) ben ik echter nog steeds 'not-amused' over het feit dat het intussen meer en meer duidelijk is dat veel mensen-patiënten tot op heden nog steeds worden misleid!
Want de gevolgen voor de (geteste en te testen) patiënten zijn: een onjuiste testuitslag, een gemiste diagnose, een verkeerd gestelde diagnose, een verkeerde voorgeschreven behandeling, veroorzaakte (blijvende) schade aan de gezondheid!


Bij mij waren de uitslagen: de testen voor Borreliose(Lyme): positief. De testen voor 7 verschillende coinfecties: positief: Ehrlichia, **Coxsackie-Virus (type B1 met kruisreactie van B2 en B6 met erg hoge waarden), Chlamydia pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Anaplasma phagocytophilum. Bartonella hesalea en Bartonella quintana (waren negatief; opmerkelijk want ik heb katten en had meerdere keren rashes(rode strepen) op het lichaam gezien).
Chlamydia pneumoniae (positief met erg hoge waarde.. maar opmerkelijk was dat ik de genoemde symptomen niet had). En een verdenking van Rickettsia vanwege erg ziek te zijn geweest in de Verenigde Staten, in Duitsland en in Spanje (niet getest omdat de kosten al erg hoog waren). En de CD57+ test: erg lage waarde Natural Killer Cells, erg lage waarde CD 57 NK-cells -> diagnose: Chronische Lyme.

Volgens BCA zou ik heel erg ziek zijn. Maar betekende het daadwerkelijk dat ik mede om reden van de positieve uitslagen met de hoge waarden van de bacteriën en de virussen erg ziek was geworden? Ik heb er door de jaren heen geen antwoord op kunnen vinden of dit juist was.
CMV (HHV-5) en EBV (HHV-4) waren bij een ISO 15189 geaccrediteerde Medische Laboratorium in Nederland positief/doorgemaakte infectie. Van EBV ben ik in het verleden erg ziek geweest en ben ik er niet van hersteld en is PEM (Post Exertional Malaise (PEM) is terugslag na inspanning) een blijvende beperking geworden. Op basis van het niet herstellen van EBV en de PEM is de diagnose ME gesteld. En Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV) (HHV-3) is meerdere keren positief geweest. De huisarts heeft mij verteld dat evenals de andere herpesvirussen CMV en EBV na een primo-infectie latent in het lichaam aanwezig blijven en dat er veelvuldig reactivaties kunnen optreden. Dat zou vaak gebeuren bij een verminderde weerstand.

Ik heb ook corona gekregen 2x positief getest en er ziek van geweest. Volledig gevaccineerd en er bleek duidelijk dat mensen minder ziek werden en niet in het ziekenhuis of op de IC terecht kwamen. En zou bij mij volgens hetgeen door ArminLabs (Duitsland) wordt gesteld in 2023 als gevolg van het corona-virus.. Borrelia, Coxsackie-Virus, Chlamydia pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, CMV en EBV en Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV) kunnen zijn gereactiveerd? En de (slapende coinfecties, negatieve 2 Bartonella soorten?, verdenking Ricketsia?) en de coinfecties Ehrlichia, Anaplasma phagocytophilum kunnen zijn gereactiveerd? Met de kennis van nu.. zet ik daar persoonlijk (grote) vraagtekens bij! Ik ben niet opnieuw terug gevallen en niet opnieuw ziek(er) geworden.

Volgens hetgeen er wordt gesteld door ArminLabs (Duitsland) in 2023 moet je dan blijven doorbehandelen? met de geadviseerde kostbare supplementen/natuurlijke behandeling; Bron viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2595&start=140#p29175 van 'Phytobox' (ArminLabs/AONM), van 'Make Well' (Infectolab Americas) of van 'Just Herbs Europe' (Lyme Resource Centre Dublin)? A multi-antigen Microblot-Array for the diagnostics of Borrelia species was conducted in three groups of patients: with severe COVID-19 (hospitalized), with asymptomatic to mild COVID-19 (home treated or not aware of being infected), and those not infected with SARS-CoV-2. Demographic parameters of the investigated population were different to general demographic parameters of the whole country population, due to the imbalanced representation of hospitalized COVID-19 patients, who tend to be elderly. The studied groups, however, were agreed for concordant demographic parameters without statistically significant differences (Supplementary Figs. S1 and S2). The testing revealed that all patients hospitalized due to COVID-19 disease were positive for Borrelia burgdorferi-specific IgG (31 out of 31). In patients with mild/asymptomatic COVID-19, 19 positive cases were found (out of 28), and in participants never infected with SARS-CoV-2 only 8 positive cases were found (out of 28) (as assessed according to the manufacturer’s instructions for array interpretation).

For 6 out of 19 Borrelia antigens tested, severe COVID-19 patients demonstrated significantly higher specific IgG serum levels than any other group of patients: VlsE B. garinii, p41 B. burgdorferi sensu stricto, OspB, OspA B. burgdorferi sensu stricto, OspC B. garinii, and OspC B. burgdorferi sensu stricto. For a further 10 Borrelia antigens, severe COVID-19 patients also demonstrated significantly higher specific IgG serum levels than participants not infected with SARS-CoV-2: VlsE B. afzelii, VlsE B. burgdorferi sensu stricto, p58, p41 B. afzelii, p39, OspA B. garinii, OspC B. afzelii, OspC B. spielmanii, Nap A and p17 (Fig. 1, all p-values are listed in Supplementary Table S1, numbers of patients testing positively for each antigen-specific IgG are listed in Supplementary Table S2). This observation suggests that previous exposure to Borrelia renders patients more prone to severe COVID-19 in case of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Testing for Borrelia-specific IgM revealed that among patients hospitalized due to COVID-19 disease, 24 (out of 31) were positive for Borrelia burgdorferi-specific IgM, while in mild/asymptomatic patients and in participants never infected with SARS-CoV-2 only 13 (out of 28) and 15 (out of 28) positive cases were found, respectively. Significant differences between groups of patients in their IgM reactivity with the tested antigens were found for OspA B. burgdorferi sensu stricto and OspE; for these antigens severe COVID-19 patients demonstrated significantly higher specific IgM levels than the two other groups of patients. Also for OspC B. spielmanii, severe COVID-19 patients demonstrated significantly higher specific IgM levels than the group of participants seronegative to SARS-CoV-2 (Fig. 2, all p-values are listed in Supplementary Table S3, numbers of patients testing positively for each antigen-specific IgM are listed in Supplementary Table S4)..

..Discussion
In this study we investigated potential correlations between detected antibody levels indicating exposure to Borrelia and the risk of increased severity of COVID-19. Previous exposure to Borrelia was identified by multi-antigenic serological testing, and it revealed that increased levels of Borrelia-specific IgGs strongly correlated with COVID-19 severity and with the risk of hospitalization (Fig. 1 and ​and3,3, Supplementary Tables S1 and S2). For Borrelia-specific IgMs, correlations were weaker and mostly insignificant (Fig. 2 and Supplementary Fig. S3, Supplementary Tables S3 and S4)..

..Important limitations should be considered for a full understanding of this study’s results. First, diagnostics of Lyme disease (active borreliosis) is still difficult and often unclear. Laboratory testing should be considered in conjunction with potential exposure and compatible clinical symptoms10; data on patients’ history of tick bites and on potential borreliosis-related symptoms were not available here. Particularly severe COVID-19 patients under intensive care were not able to give them. Thus, in the investigated group at least some individuals may demonstrate immunological memory of previous Borrelia infection/s but not an active disease. On the other hand, difficulties with rapid and unambiguous diagnosis may lead to some Borrelia-infected patients going untreated, with the pathogen affecting their health condition even for a long time..

ISO 15189 en ISO 13485
De norm ISO 15189 en ISO 13485 zijn verschillende normen. De ISO 13485 norm is gericht op de hele keten van een medisch hulpmiddel. Dat wil zeggen dat het betrekking heeft op de totale levenscyclus van zo’n hulpmiddel. In de norm ligt de nadruk voornamelijk op risicomanagement. Het doel van de ISO 13485 norm is toetsen of de medische hulpmiddelen voldoen aan de norm-eisen en of er zodoende rekening wordt houden met risicomanagement van de gehele keten. De norm is geschikt voor elke organisatie - groot en klein - die medische hulpmiddelen fabriceert en/of levert op de Europese markt.

De ISO 15189 norm betreft eisen voor kwaliteit én competentie en is een internationale norm die de eisen van het kwaliteits-managementsysteem specificeert die specifiek zijn voor medische laboratoria.

..Biotrack, het enige bedrijf in Nederland dat de apparatuur heeft voor de FISH test, heeft ons laten weten dat zij geen FISH onderzoek naar QVS kunnen doen. Vanwege bedrijfseconomische redenen hebben ze besloten geen Coxiella metingen meer te doen.

Met deze pilotstudie wilden we onderzoeken of de FISH test op bloedcellen mogelijk waarde heeft voor de diagnostiek van het Q-koortsvermoeidheidssyndroom. Samen met veel QVS patiënten waren wij erg benieuwd naar de uitkomsten van dit onderzoek. Een onderzoek waar Q-support al jaren haar best voor doet en waar alles voor was voorbereid: patiënten geworven, toestemming van de medisch-ethische commissie, professionele projectleiding vanuit Innatoss. Het is voor iedereen uitermate zuur en zéér teleurstellend dat het niet doorgaat. Zeker omdat er geen alternatief bedrijf is waar we dit onderzoek kunnen laten doen..

..Recent worden ook vragen gesteld over de bruikbaarheid van de FISH-test. Vooralsnog kan deze test niet geaccepteerd worden als bewijs voor een doorgemaakte Q-koorts omdat meer onderzoek naar de bruikbaarheid nodig is..

En kan dit ook door worden getrokken naar de geteste én te testen mensen die met de kostbare en niet-gevalideerde IVD ('in-huis ontwikkelde test') Fish test positieve uitslagen krijgen/hebben gekregen op de zogenoemde Babesia soorten, Bartonella soorten, Borrelia soorten, Borrelia burgdorferi en de andere coinfectie soorten?

..Standard testing (ST) for Lyme disease (LD) targets the spirochete form of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato. This study aims to compare ST to a new testing platform, **the Tickplex plus (TPP), which tests for spirochetes, round bodies and co-infections. This study will assess if this broader scope of testing improves the diagnosis of persistent LD.

For this cross-sectional study a chart review was performed of 216 charts, with 28 participants deemed eligible. Results from the TTP, ST, self-reported symptom scores and blood tests were extracted. Descriptive statistical analysis, Cohen’s kappa and paired t-tests were used to compare results.
There was a 39.29% agreement between TPP and ST (Cohen’s k: 0.1119). No participants received positive results on ST and negative results on TPP. 59% tested positively on TPP but not ST. 22% tested positively on both TPP and ST. 19% received negative results from both tests. All groups improved with treatment but this was not statiscially significant (p=0.765, p=0.251 p= 0.640). 90% of all participants tested positively for co-infections. 60% of participants with negative results for LD, tested positively for co-infections. 100% of those who tested positively for Borrelia, responded to round bodies, while 75% responded to spirochetes.

As round bodies are associated with persistent infection 1 and co-infections are common in Ireland 2 , their prevalence is unsurprising but unaccounted for by ST. The TPP demonstrates the importance of their inclusion in a comprehensive assay for the diagnosis and management of persistent LD. Further research with a larger sample size is warranted.

..On research, although there is some limited research on testing, it does not include treatment research or our request to implement existing tests. Two tests look potentially useful:
- TickPlex Plus tests for multiple tick-borne infections but we have been told validation of such a test would be difficult because, for most of the infections, there is no existing test to compare it to. We will never make headway unless we start somewhere – though the ideal would be a test which did not rely on antibodies.
- The Phelix Borrelia Phage Test increases the detection of Lyme disease and can distinguish early and late disease. Although it still requires independent validation, we question why the Scottish reference laboratory could not undertake such validation to more quickly bring a promising test to patients..

..Summary of results
.. - Out of 301 individuals tested for TBIs, 139 individuals (46.18%) tested antibody-positive.
- Borrelia was the most common mono-infection experienced by 59%.
- 29.5% were infected with borrelia and a co-infection and 5.75% were infected solely with rickettsia.

..Conclusion
Borrelia was the most predominant TBI in this cohort, with the majority of antibody-positive cases being a mono infection.

A third of the patients had borrelia and co-infections such as Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichia, and Rickettsia which can increase the severity of the illness and cause treatment failure.

A small number of patients that tested antibody-positive for Rickettsia alone. This is a less common infection which could lead to misdiagnosis. This is important as it is increasing in Europe, and it could be established in Ireland.
Patients' symptoms improved following antibiotic treatment, but their symptoms didn’t completely resolve, which is an area that needs future research.

We have some clues, please look at our ***posters on markers of chronic infections, **CD57+ and weakly antibody-positive patients which points in the direction of the immunosuppressive nature of TBIs..

'Wetenschappelijk onderzoek' op basis van de kostbare niet-gevalideerde TickPlex Plus test/IVD ('in-huis ontwikkelde test')/RUO Research Use Only test van Tezted Finland (fabrikant!) en ArminLabs Duitsland (verkoper!)?
Het artikel (abstract) en het gestelde kan niet dienen als medisch én wetenschappelijk bewijs vanwege de **gebuikte onbetrouwbaar gebleken testen en de gebruikte andere niet-gevalideerde testen van ArminLabs (Duitsland) en de **gebruikte niet-gevalideerde testen van Tezted (Finland).

De **CD3/CD57 test mag géén 'Lyme test' worden genoemd en is géén test om chronische Lyme mee vast te kunnen stellen!

..Het meten van het aantal CD57 lymfocyten
Deze test meet via antigenen het aantal CD57 lymfocyten, een bepaald soort bloedcellen die helpen om infecties op te ruimen. Met name chronische Lymepatiënten zouden een laag aantal CD57 cellen hebben en bij antibiotica behandeling en herstel van de ziekte zou dit aantal weer omhooggaan, tenminste volgens sommige ILADS-artsen. Ook bij diverse heel andere ziektes kan het aantal CD57 cellen echter verlaagd zijn en er zijn ook chronische Lyme patiënten die wél een normale of zelfs hoge CD57 score hebben. Het is dus niet terecht om de CD57 test een ‘Lyme test’ te noemen. De test heeft beperkte waarde voor Lyme diagnostiek en wordt in Nederland weinig gebruikt..
